Osborne Middle School
The Isle of Wight is a small island on the south coast of England, separated from Southampton and Portsmouth by the Solent, a stretch of sheltered water which connects to Southampton's natural harbour. Osborne House - featured in the school's badge - belonged to Queen Victoria and was a rural retreat for her, away from London.

East Cowes is different from the better known town of Cowes, on the other side of the river Medina. Osborne's catchment area has a number of social problems including high levels of unemployment and poor health.

The school is a recent recipient of the Schools Curriculum Award, recognising its role within the community.
